It is a coffee shop doorway this time.
Some say that Australians and New Zealanders like to consider themselves coffee snobs. Consequently, Starbucks has never gained as much traction here as in other countries but they can be found around airports and train stations, providing relief for caffeine deprived overseas tourists, just off the plane.

It’s places like this one, located in Brunswick Street near inner city Brisbane, where the locals trickle in with their kids, their prams, their dogs and their hangovers on a weekend morning.
At the end of my street we have a coffee shop which seems to have gained approval from the local dog walking and pram pushing brigade. On most mornings I am amazed to see loyal customers, trudging back to their cars more than a block away with their $5.50 take-away coffee in hand after a 10 minute wait. That’s devotion for you!
Caffeine seems to have tightened its grip everywhere. I am one of those willingly addicted to the caffeine kick, laughing all the way to the gallows (or the La Marzocco Linea Classic Espresso Machine).
Flat white please, double shot and skinny milk. No sugar.

That’s an excellent photo and a clever name. Thanks for the great door and the chuckle to start my day.
