A very widely photographed house in Tasmania.

This is in Sandy Bay, Hobart, Tasmania. One of the many beautiful suburbs in Hobart, it also boasts a wonderful patisserie for which it is deliciously famous.
Apologies to anyone who read the original content of this post. I had taken the images from my wife’s camera and she has informed me that they were taken in Sandy Bay, Hobart and not Richmond which is some 30 km distant.

Many of the houses there are just like this one and there is always something special about the Tasmanian doors.

Love the look! My house was all muted colours inside and out but then I thought hell, wake up, and painted the back doors an intense cobalt blue. So brave!

That’s a great door, and I like the interesting photos.

I like the peachy orange door against the pink. I’m curious about the sea shells on the step!

I wondered about the sea shells myself initially but then realised that the photos were from Sandy Bay which I think is the closest beach to the Hobart CBD. A lovely suburb and I wish I could afford to live there! /Steve

Hmmm, broken shells on the doorstep – a wind chime disaster?
